Ring in the holidays with the
Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade!

Join us for the 25th Annual Miracle on Kansas Ave Parade, but with a twist!
To encourage social distancing, this year we will be having a reverse parade around the Capitol!

Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor

Although by name and tradition this usually takes place on Kansas Ave, the new route offers more safety with fewer obstacles and we plan to be back on Kansas Ave next year.

Floats will line both sides of the street while attendees will parade through the route to view the floats at 3MPH.

The Miracle on Kansas Avenue Parade features “lighted” holiday-themed entries and the official arrival of Santa! After the parade, enjoy dinner downtown and stroll the avenue to see all the decorated storefronts.

Want to enter a float in the parade? We've actually made it easier this year. Here are your steps and some additional guidelines:

1) Arrive at 7th and Harrison beginning at 3PM to find a spot along the route
2) must be in place and set up by 4:30.
3) Pay the required $10 donation when the DTI representative comes around

Here are some things to keep in mind:

- No Santa or Mrs Claus on floats - we don't want to confuse those innocent little kids with imposters would we?
- No handing out candy or items - The magic of the holidays doesn't stop the spread of COVID (That we know of)
- Entry should be decorated all the way around so no photographers accidently get your bad side
- Open flames are not allowed on entries unless contained and approved. We're saving you from yourselves here people
- Be mindful of your height clearance. Even though we won't be driving through Downtown, you will still have to get here and back
- Pets must be leashed and kept to a one-to-one ratio.
- Political campaigns or statements are not allowed. We're past the election so let's just keep that behind us now.
- Confetti guns and confetti devices are not allowed.

Simple as that! Come on out and enjoy the day.

The MKA Parade Committee reserves the right to have any non-compliant or improperly decorated entry removed.

Attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate to Harvesters! Drop off on the route at 10th and Jackson.
